[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-16117) Fix Connection leak in mapred.TableOutputFormat

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-16117?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15358409#comment-15358409 ]

Sean Busbey commented on HBASE-16117:
-------------------------------------

In HBASE-15645 we noted that an added API couldn't be relied on by annotating it IA.Private in the earlier branch. I'd like to do that with the new constructor from HBASE-16017.

> Spark seems to instantiate multiple instances of output formats within a single process. When mapred.TableOutputFormat (not mapreduce.TableOutputFormat) is used, this may cause connection leaks that slowly exhaust the cluster's zk connections.
> This patch fixes that.
