[jira] [Commented] (JAMES-1486) Aggregate all websites to a single site

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES-1486?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13593136#comment-13593136 ]

Eric Charles commented on JAMES-1486:
-------------------------------------

Hi Ioan,

We still need to be able to generate the site with 'mvn site' command.
We had discussions around this before and the outcome was that this is still needed.

Also, please list all lost documentation. There is many content built by many people, and losing stuff without knowing it is not an option.

Please ensure that you don't break links (you broke a few ones with some commit you did as reported for example by Martin Hewitt on the mailing list).

If you are not sure these requirements are respected, especially the ability to build the complete site with 'mvn site', post your plan so we can discuss it before committing anything, otherwise you take the risk to have to revert.

Thx, Eric

> It seems there is no silver bullet. I'm going forward with the migration. I choose the risk of loosing some small documentation stuff VS the risk of not moving the project forward.
> Moving all the site stuff in one place will enable svn pub-sub for all project and will put some order into things.
> Doing so means we will be able to migrate repos to Git.
