Sorry for the late, [~rvs] The Tez docs explain detailed instructions for deploying Tez. refer to https://tez.apache.org/install.html
And recent release artifact for Tez contains tez tarball, for instance http://apache.tt.co.kr/tez/0.7.1/apache-tez-0.7.1-bin.tar.gz the tarball contains share/tez.tar.gz for the convenience of users.

At this moment, I'm not sure that we should update our puppet recipes for Tez. I'll look into that.
