ActionServlet not initiating

Hi there,

I am using Tomcat 4.1.19

When I start up tomcat get the followgin error

javax.servlet.ServletException: Error instantiating servlet class
org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet
.
.
.
.
.
.
----- Root Cause -----
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/digester/RuleSet
.
.
.

Now I know that the class org.apache.commons.digester.RulesSet is available
in the file

server\lib\commons-digester.jar

Can anyone suggest why, if this file is present, is it throw a
NoClassDefFoundError?

Regards

Posted by Tim Funk <fu...@joedog.org>.
Stuff in server\lib\ is not accessable by you because it is a different
classloader. You'll need a copy in common/lib or WEB-INF/lib.
