Encoding of the registry files: always default system encoding?
Summary: Encoding of the registry files: always default system
encoding?
Product: Jetspeed
Version: 1.4b1
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Registry
AssignedTo: jetspeed-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: matija.mazi@student.fmf.uni-lj.si
CC: adambalk@cisco.com
It seems that the .xreg files are always assumed to be encoded in the system's default character
encoding. I think there should be a way provided to use another encoding.
Same problem in the
PSML files (in
org.apache.jetspeed.services.psmlmanager.db.DBUtils.portletsToBytes(...)).
