POI - Excel and SP3 or MS08-014 security update

On desktops with Office SP3 or the MS08-014 security update installed
(http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS08-014.mspx), our
users cannot open XLS files created using Apache POI. Has anyone else seen
this issue and are there any workarounds for the same? The application works
fine with MS Excel without these patches applied. We create the XLS file
from scratch without using a template. The error message seen is as follows
" Damage to the file was so extensive that repairs were not possible.
Excel attempted to recover your formulas and values, but some data may have
been
lost or corrupted."

Regards
Deenar

Re: POI - Excel and SP3 or MS08-014 security update - FIXED

We faced this issue with version 3.0-FINAL of poi, but upgrading to
3.02-FINAL fixes this.
