The search button in the main tool bar is the eclipse search button. It is visible in each perspective, like the "New.." button. 

In the RCP application we could remove this general search button and add a specific search button only visible in the Browser perspective.

In a regular eclipse installation the search button is always there. And it always opens the search dialog. Perhaps we could add a search page for schema search.
