How to convert timestamp

The sample results contain a field called timeStamp. How (which algorithm) can I use to convert this timestamp to a format like HH:MM:SS DD-MM-YYYY ?

I'd like to know the algoritm so I can make the calculation using Perl, XLST of Excel...
