Close / Re-open portlets

Hi there,

I'm playing around with Jetspeed-2 at the moment and am trying to figure
out, what's possible and what's not..

We did two projects with Liferay before and with Liferay it was easily
possible to close portlets and add them again afterwards via a dropdown-list
at the bottom of the page. With Jetspeed-2 just closing portlets seems to be
not a standard functionality (albeit there is a close.gif in the images
folder...?) let alone the re-opening of these portlets...

Am I wrong? Can someone help me achieving this?

Cheers
Florian

Read again:

[if you are running from the CVS head]

i.e. NOT M2

AW: Close / Re-open portlets

Unfortunately I do not see the X. I will try again with the CVS download...

Why isn't there something like a little X in a portlet's upper right corner
as you know it from other portals. I mean there is this little close.gif I
mentioned in my first email so someone obviously thought about that, right?

What about re-adding a portlet after removal or does it just re-appear
automatically when entering the portal again?

I'm using m3/dev but when I click that pencil I see something like (forgive
the ascii art):

/\
|
Position -> X
|
\/

over each portlet instance. If you click the "X" the portlet is removed.

If you don't see that, then you probably need to get it form CVS.

AW: Close / Re-open portlets

Posted by Florian Theurich <fl...@x-cell.com>.
Sean,

I'm using Jetspeed M2 and when I enter page customization mode (the little
pencil at the top of the page, right?), all I can do is moving portlets
around (from left to right and up and down). I have following entry in the
file page.security:

<security-constraints-def name="public-edit">
    <security-constraint>
      <users>*</users>
      <permissions>*</permissions>
    </security-constraint>
  </security-constraints-def>

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated

Thanks
Florian
