[jira] Commented: (XALANJ-2417) Publish Xalan 2.7.1 on Maven central repository

Chris Hubick commented on XALANJ-2417:
--------------------------------------

I would really appreciate it if the Xalan project could look into helping get this done.

Having my project based on Maven makes it really easy for new users to quickly get up to speed and build and deploy it, without having to manually track down all it's dependencies, etc. But until an updated version of Xalan is uploaded to the Maven repo, I am stuck using 2.7.0 (and it's corresponding Xerces 2.6.0), which are quite old now. With both Maven and Xalan being Apache projects, one wouldn't expect this to be such a problem.

> I would like to kindly ask Xalan developers to put 2.7.1 release into following directory:
> /www/people.apache.org/repo/m1-ibiblio-rsync-repository/xalan
> So it can be published on Maven's central repository.
> Thanks in advance.
