[jira] Created: (SM-1923) Broken link on Servicemix kernel doc page

Broken link on Servicemix kernel doc page
-----------------------------------------

                 Key: SM-1923
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/SM-1923
             Project: ServiceMix
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: documentation
            Reporter: Jamie Goodyear
            Priority: Trivial

The Servicemix kernel link is broken in side bar on the kernel user-guide page.
http://servicemix.apache.org/kernel/users-guide.html

Clicking the link currently attempts to send you here:
http://servicemix.apache.org/FELIX/apache-felix-karaf.html

Which results in a 404 error. I'm guessing that we actually want to go here:
http://felix.apache.org/site/apache-felix-karaf.html

I can easily switch this link over, unless we want to send users to another page.

The link is working fine.

I posted a message on the dev mailing list to add an explanation about SMX Kernel and Karaf.

[jira] Commented: (SM-1923) Broken link on Servicemix kernel doc page

David Porter commented on SM-1923:
----------------------------------

Do we really want to send the user to http://felix.apache.org/site/apache-felix-karaf.html?

I find the Felix-related navigation links in the ServiceMix Kernel page confusing.

This page should clearly state that the ServiceMix Kernel is no longer under development:

http://servicemix.apache.org/kernel/index.html

Navigation within all other sub-pages, such as this one http://servicemix.apache.org/kernel/users-guide.html, should point back to the ServiceMix Kernel pages.
