How stylesheets are processed

Hi-

Can Cocoon processors be applied to stylesheets (in 1.8.2)? So if I write a
processor "foo" can I use a PI like:
<?cocoon-process type="foo"?> in my XML source AND in the corresponding
stylesheet?
If so, in which order are processors applied?

Thanks for any help,

-markus

X3d and Cocoon

Posted by Joost Fleuren <jo...@fleuren.org>.
Hi All,

I am trying to get the X3dToVrml97.xsl (from X3D working group,
http://www.web3d.org/TaskGroups/x3d/X3dIndex.html) to work with Cocoon
1.8.2. For now, you can see X3d as XML style VRML97.

I encounter difficoulties to get the X3dToVrml97.xsl to work with Cocoon.
One reason is that the xsl:output instructions don't work in the Cocoon
framework. It seems I have to replace them by Cocoon processing
instructions.
Second is that in Cocoon for some reason you need an extra fake 'super-tag'
around VRML-output, due to DOM limitations. At least that is what the VRML
example of Coccoon 1.8.2 said.
Third is that it uses several SAXON specific commands, but that is not
essential: it also works with Xalan and it simply doesn't use the SAXON
specific commands then.

My question: does anybody have experience in using the X3dToVrml97.xsl
stylesheet with Cocoon?

Any help / suggestions / commends would be appreciated.

Kind regards,

Joost Fleuren,
