bayes sitewide

Hi

i added the lines
bayes_path /etc/mail/spamassassin/bayes
bayes_file_mode 0770

to local.cf and restarted spamd

maillog shows

config: SpamAssassin failed to parse line, "/etc/mail/spamassassin/bayes" is
not valid for "bayes_path", skipping: bayes_path
/etc/mail/spamassassin/bayes

just changing the bayes line to

bayes_path /etc/mail/spamassassin/bayes/bayes

worked as i no longer see an error on restart and can see bayes files

bayes_seen
bayes_toks

Yes.  The documentation states:

bayes_path /path/filename     (default: ~/.spamassassin/bayes)
This is the directory and filename for Bayes databases.  Several
databases will be created, with this as the base directory and
filename [...]

So if /etc/mail/spamassassin/bayes is a directory, as you indicate,
and you set that path for bayes_path, SA throws an error so you can fix
the path to include the filename portion.  You may want something like
"bayes_path /etc/mail/spamassassin/bayes/bayes".
