   @tkonolige @jwfromm yeah the caching makes sense to me, this is why I was against it a long time ago 😆 . I think we should add to the C++ implementation of `build` to ensure that we don't accidentally trigger this behavior in other places. The main purpose of the cache is not code generate identical ops inside of the same graph from my point-of-view.
