   You are right SCHED_CPULOAD_EXTCLK should work in tick mode. Could you provide a patch remove the dependence? Thanks.

   I wonder if it was intentional to make `SCHED_CPULOAD_EXTCLK` depend on `SCHED_TICKLESS` [here](https://github.com/apache/nuttx/commit/08c4ac133bfe424ee1576b609310a80647f32bdc#diff-285d196ad580d55fdaef3fbe54702ee3ddeed0d93cba52a5441d1866e0031726R922-R925)?
   
   We have been using `SCHED_CPULOAD_EXTCLK` for years with a ticking kernel and it works fine.
