[jira] [Created] (LEGAL-260) Zope Public License v2 compatibility with the Apache License.

Arthur Wiedmer created LEGAL-260:
------------------------------------

Summary: Zope Public License v2 compatibility with the Apache License.
                 Key: LEGAL-260
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LEGAL-260
             Project: Legal Discuss
          Issue Type: Question
            Reporter: Arthur Wiedmer

Hi,

We are considering using code that is licensed under the Zope Public License.
https://github.com/zopefoundation/zope.deprecation/blob/master/LICENSE.txt

It seems similar to a BSD license but with a few more restrictions. I was wondering about compatibility with the Apache license.

I have searched the LEGAL JIRA, but found no mention of Zope. I have also searched the legal-discuss@ archives, but without much success. It seems that zope python packages are used by a few projects, which makes me hopeful, but I would love to get a more definitive answer.

Thank you so much for the work that you are doing.

Best,
Arthur
