Using a certain named configuration as default configuration

Hi, 

I am new to Ivy and I have got a problem with Ivy cofigurations: 

I want to enforce that every project using an Ivy repository and not
specifying 
any configuration for an artifact automatically uses a certain named
configuration 
for this artifact, e.g. "default".
This shall be specified once in the Ivy repository, not in all ivy.xml files
of the individual 
projects using the ivy repository.

Is that possible?
