Is it possible for the SC and the LB to define the topic in CC which it wants to subscribe?

Hi Devs,

$Subject?

Following is my requirement.

   - I want to add some topology in CC (via .xml files in
repository/deployment/services folder). Lets say these topologies contain
   app server and ESB.
   - I want to have two SCs and two ELBs which want to manage separate
groups of domains (lets say one set wants to manage app servers and the
other set wants to manage ESBs)
   - I want the topology to be available in two different topics (lets say
as_topic and esb_topic) and the SC and ELB to subscribe to a topic of its
   preference.

Is this possible at the moment? If not do you think this is a valid
requirement to be added to your roadmaps?

Thanks,
Amila.

Hi Amila,

AFAIK at the moment there is only one topic to which SC and ELB subscribe
to, and it is not possible to add topics dynamically. We too are
considering adding support for multiple topics so that multiple ELBs can
front different service clusters.

Yes. Maintaining those road map items in JIRAs is much easier. I was
thinking whether it's possible to have a single place to track all road map
items and have detailed description of what each item means for Apache
Stratos.

IMO we should maintain these in Jira, much easier.

I was discussing with Lakmal to put all road map items to a wiki page.

May be we can create JIRAs when we start to implement

Hey Nirmal,

Where's the road map located, so that we can point people to it?

Hi Amila,

This is in our road map and in fact, I've already implemented some parts,
but had to hold :(.
