As you note yourself, this is a pretty unique case.  I don't want to subject the
vast majority of Tomcat users to such a security hole unless more people voice
the need for this, which they haven't.  It's also much less needed than in the
past due to the various Manager and JMX administration options.  Given that this
item has received no votes for it or other comments from interested users, I'm
tempted to close it as WONTFIX.
