[ANNOUNCE] First Release 0.1-incubating of Tamaya Configuration published

Dear all

We are happy to announce that Apache Tamaya successfully published its
first release. Apache Tamaya provides a flexible yet extensible
configuration API/SPI, which allows to configure any kind of applications
or modules. The current release hereby ships with a Java 7 and and a Java 8
based API, corresponding implementation modules and several extension
modules.

Main advantages are

   - a common API to access configuration (currently in Java only).
   - a common SPI that also can be used by clients/customer to plugin in
with their enterprise configuration infrastructure mechanism without having
   to rebuild/adapt existing code.
   - a minmal modular and pluggable design, which provides flexibility for
adapting, extending the functionality as needed.

Though Apache Tamaya is a joint effort of many experts engaged with Java EE
it is not dependent on Java EE, but mainly depends on Java SE only. It is
planned that future releases will support and provide benefits for Java EE
explicitly.

I will present the project at ApacheCon Europe as well. For further details
about the project and how to contact us refer best to our homepage:

Best,
Anatole
