Intermittant communication problem with netscape and Tomcat
Hello,
we are using a plugin under Netscape V 4.75, 4.76 and 6.0 to pass data
to a servlet runnning under tomcat 3.1 (Tomcat 3.2 were not usable for
session handling). The created BufferedReader from HTTPSevletRequest -
object alwys returns not ready (method rdr.ready() returns false);
although the data is available, every once a while. In other cases the
Reader blocks, waiting for data.
The same plugin under Internet Explorer 5.0 and 5.5 works perfectly. The
data is available directly from the HTTPServletRequest object.
The plugin uses the function NPN_PostURL and NPN_PostURLNotify to send
the data.
We were also trying to interrupt the reader to prevent the servlet from
blocking, without success so far.
Mit freundlichen Gruessen
With best regards
Udo Kolb
