This looks very similar to a problem I'm looking at. Could you try:
1. Rename "e:\xerces 2 java" to "e:\xerces2java";
2. Put JavaXML.dtd in the folder "e:\xerces2java\DTD"
and try again? If the problem disappears, then it IS the problem I'm working 
on. Hope I can fix it soon.
