[jira] [Updated] (LEGAL-291) bison output / bison dependency in
httpd
Daniel Shahaf updated LEGAL-291:
--------------------------------
Would it be feasible to re-generate the .c/.h from the .y using
a permissively-licensed yacc implementation, and then ship _that_
generated code? (Sidestepping the bison license classification issue)

> The httpd source distribution contains a parser generated by GNU bison. We currently distribute the generated parser as opposed to depending on GNU bison to generate it at build time.
> It is not really optional in any meaningful way.
> It seems like its terms technically limit what you can do with something based on httpd. We don't currently list anything about this issue in NOTICE/LICENSE.

> Is there any way to keep this generated code?
