[VOTE] Release Apache Tika 1.17 Candidate #1
A candidate for the Tika 1.17 release is available at: https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/tika/
The release candidate is a zip archive of the sources in: https://github.com/apache/tika/tree/1.17-rc1
The SHA1 checksum of the archive is 37f3cd19051160a8c488b1aa7ff25c3ae515c359.
In addition, a staged maven repository is available here: https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachetika-1027
Please vote on releasing this package as Apache Tika 1.17.The vote is open for the next 72 hours and passes if a majority of atleast three +1 Tika PMC votes are cast.

Please note that this will be the last major version that will run with Java 7.The next major release will require Java 8.
