Scope
In the SOAP 1.2 release notes, in the "Service Deployment Information"
section, in the "Scope" sub-section, the last sentence in the
"Application" description says:
"A document describing usage scenarios for different scopes will be
forthcoming."
Does such a document exist?
If not, maybe someone here can help me out. My application's situation
is such that I need an object to be instantiated for each user, I need
that same object to continue to be available to the user for the duration
of that users session, and no object should be used by any other user
than the user it was initially created for.
Based on the limited documantation, it seems that the "session" scope
would be the one I need. Is this correct? Does the package manage
sessions itself? Does it use cookies? How does the system determine
when to finally discard the individual objects? Any details on scope
would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
Chris
