Help please
Using Open Office spreadsheet file and suddenly when I try to enter a number in a cell the cursor jumps to the top row cell of the same column. How can I fix this ? I'm using version 3.3 on Windows 7 operating system. Thank you.

Yes, you're right. My bad. I am subscribed to the LibreOffice list as
well, and in this case I guess I just thought I was writing to that
list. Sorry for the confusion. LibreOffice reached 3.6 so far, which
is considered an ”unstable” version, while 3.5 is the stable one.
OpenOffice.org 3.4 ≠ LibreOffice 3.4 since they developed separately
since the ”split”.

Sorry, I forgot to add that the deb build that I referenced above does
include a DI file: openoffice.org3.4-debian-menus_3.5-9610_all.deb and
that works well for me. But... I don't have AOo3.4 installed, so that is
probably the reason why it installed.

I do seem to recall some OOo-dev builds in the past that have done this,
but don't have any archives available.
On a dev only version (where it installs as OO-dev (AOo-dev?)), I think
it's a good idea to add a minimal (main menu screen) DI file. That is
not to appease folks who don't know how to add a menu, but instead to
test to see if the basic DI structure is working & not clashing with
other installs (AOo, LO, MS Office etc). That way when the final comes
out, the DI will hopefully work as expected.
I think it's more difficult with a Windows build; my suggestion is to
rename the program files to awriterdev, etc. I tested that on an LO
Windows build last year (renamed to ooowriter.exe, etc) and it worked
just fine. Couldn't get LO devs to do anything with it though:

By definition, Developer Snapshots don't come with desktop integration
(I can't recall if in OOo times they did this differently, but I guess
it was the same, as we didn't change anything in this area).
May be it makes sense to design a minimal desktop integration with the
*.desktop files and their respective images only, but no mime
definitions.

and just downloaded and installed the RPM build on Fedora 17.

2012-09-30_06:33:16-Rev.1373730 - Linux i686
On the new RPM build installs just fine as Oo-dev 3.5.0. Well done &

Oh, shame on us, these "Dev.Snaps" are the 3.4.1 release. Real Developer
Snapshots can be found at
http://people.apache.org/~arielch/packages/r1391723/ (they install as
OOo Dev 3.5 without replacing the current stable installation). We
should start building a new Dev. Snapshot by this next week.

As a first check, I'd suggest that you make sure that the problem is in
OpenOffice; from what you describe, it might simply be that "Num Lock"
is disabled in your keyboard... Just press "Num Lock" again to switch
between numbers and page navigation.
