Clarity on CLI changes and Site guidance

Hi Guys,

I'm happy to overhaul the site documentation tomorrow or as soon as I
totally understand what needs to be updated. A few questions.

1. I think we should document (whether on the wiki, site or otherwise) how
to do an RC and subsequent release. This will be really helpful for us all
to understand the process and to hopefully take the knowledge elsewhere as
I understand you guys have done/are doing a great job with automating the
build. I am really looking forward to seeing where this leads and what I
can learn from it.
2. We need to update [0]. The question I have though... will the core
target directory exist in core e.g. ANY23_HOME/core/target/any23.tar.gz or
will it be something else? I suppose this will only come out when we know
what the RC looks like.
3. What happened to any23tools shell? I now only have the bin/any23 shell,
and when I do any23 --version I get a pretty mind boggling, pretty verbose
list of options to pick from. This makes me think that I should reopen
ANY23-64 and that we should/could make the CLI aesthetics more palatable.
WDYT?
4. I propose to move the acknowledgements subsection from [0] to a new page
addressed via ANY23-57
6. A larger part of this would be to also address ANY23-68 whilst I am at
it.
7. If I wish to create a new page, it appears that I need to manually add
the sidebar headings to every page... surely this is not the only solution
and there is a more convenient method for populating every page with the a
new sidebar page title whenever we wish to add/remove a page to the site.
Can someone please detail. To explain in more detail, if you currently
click on the introduction [1] you'll see the Wiki title in the sidebar.
However when you click on the Wiki [2] page, you'll see that it disappears
altogether from the sidebar? I haven't found a way of populating every page
with a new page as the sidebar doesn't appear to be a centrally controlled
aspect of the site docs.

Apologies for the pain of a mail but I'll get all of this sorted out
tomorrow unless there are any objections so would appreciate feedback if
and when it is possible.

Thanks

Lewis

The any23 tool was used to invoke just the Rover (the URL metadata
extractor)
while any23tools was used to invoke all the other Tools included Rover.
We just simplified the CLI merging all into any23

You mean: remove the banners into 'External Links' section in [0] into a
page
called 'history' or 'acknowledgements' as per ANY23-57?
I will take care of it.
