The attached patch contains a passing test SyncBeanInOutIT and a failing test SyncBeanInOutWithoutExchangePatternIT.

The failing test contains a route definition

from("direct:calculatorProxy").inOut("sjms:calculator-queue");

The passing test only differs by

from("direct:calculatorProxy").inOut("sjms:calculator-queue?exchangePattern=InOut");
