help utilizing control character as delimiter within CSVRecordSetWriter Controller Service

Hello,

I need to utilize ASCII 28 (\x1c) as a value separator in a CSV file.
^\

\x1c

1c

28

The CSVRecordSetWriter only allows a single character for the Value Separator. Thus we are trying to enter the decimal representation for \x1c which comes out to be the control character $B-x(B

Most ascii conversions show decimal 28 as the hollow box. Does anyone know why the Controller Service would show $B-x(B

Is the hollow box not correct? Is there a special way to enter this control character? Or is the Controller Service not interpreting ASCII 28 properly?

Thanks Galen
