builds are unable to clone git repo

Hi folks!

Experience the following issue since 2 days:

stderr: error: Couldn't resolve host 'git-wip-us.apache.org' while accessing https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/deltaspike.git/info/refs fatal: HTTP request failed at org.jenkinsci.plugins.gitclient.CliGitAPIImpl.launchCommandIn(CliGitAPIImpl.java:774)

happens in a few of our DeltaSpike builds

https://builds.apache.org/view/A-D/view/DeltaSpike/

e.g.
https://builds.apache.org/job/DeltaSpike%20OWB%201.2.0/11/
but happens on many other builds as well.

anything we can do on our side?
