   I agree this PR does not address point 3 from #517 (I had commented as such on that issue), I felt like removal of that reliance on srv:dir was potentially dangerous, and didnt want to mix concerns in this PR. We could either seperate that out into a seperate issue to be worked after, or we could go forward with this PR but not close 517 until that step is also done. @ctubbsii If you feel it must be part of the same body of work, I will attempt to add that to this PR next week.
