[jira] Commented: (DIRSERVER-1084) Effective userid needs to be more flexible (per instance)

Pierre-Arnaud Marcelot commented on DIRSERVER-1084:
---------------------------------------------------

Binary and Debian installer are ok since the 1.5.2 release as they provide a specific (not shared) script for the default instance.
I believe the OS X package installer does the same thing.
And I have to check for the Windows one...

> The run as user is currently defaulting to apacheds, but to change it affects all instances. In order to run a single instance on port 389 you would have to change the userid for all instances. This needs to be moved to the instance config.
