In IDE plugin we need to be able to search repository index, reindex local repository and download/update indexes from the remote repositories. See http://docs.codehaus.org/display/MAVEN/Repository+Manager
This is a common task, so embedder should provide this API, unless repository manger will provide a embeddeble indexer/searcher component.
