Are we planning to publish Maven artifacts as well?

Hi!

I'm catching up with a few threads on release
mechanics and I just wanted to ask this question
explicitly: are we planning to also push binary
convenience artifacts of geode into ASF Maven
repository (and thus, by extension, to Maven
central) as part of the release process?

Given the problems [1] that gradle maven-publish has with signature files (and signing poms) I think we’ll need to rework some build files.

Just follow the document I sent out and try it. There's no danger in trying
it -- you can undo the transaction from the ASF Maven Nexus UI. Try it
and let us know.

Nitin, in that case, as an RM you'd have to stage the Maven bits
and include the link to the staging repository into the VOTE thread.
Just make sure to follow instructions over here:
    http://www.apache.org/dev/publishing-maven-artifacts.html

If you ever run into not having enough karma to do any of the steps
