We are rather inconsistent in the way we write log messages. It would be helpful to come up with a style and document various aspects of logs, including but not limited to:
* Usage of backticks and/or single quotes to quote interpolated variables;
* Usage of backticks and/or single quotes to quote types and other names;
* Usage of tenses and other grammatical forms;
* Proper way of nesting [error] messages;
