[Issue 126239] New: Paste or paste special from numbered paragraph
breaks paragraph style/fornatting
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126239
Issue ID: 126239
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Paste or paste special from numbered paragraph breaks
paragraph style/fornatting
Product: Writer
Version: 4.1.0
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P5
Component: formatting
Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
Reporter: drankinatty@suddenlinkmail.com

Response to Special Appearance
When copying from a numbered paragraph, pasting into the next paragraph breaks
paragraph formatting and causes formatting to revert to some default losing
first line indent and numbered list formatting.
The only way not to break formatting is to paste special, unformatted text,
which then includes the unwanted paragraph number from the copy source
paragraph (see: Bug 126238)
Bug 74103 did NOT fix the issue.
For example, copy from within any of the numbered paragraphs contained in the
attached Response to Special Appearance. Hit return to create the next number
in the list. The paste the copied text into the new numbered paragraph. The
formatting on the paragraph is destroyed and the first line indent and numbered
list formatting revert from 1/2 inch to some 1/4 inch default (approx.
measurements)
This makes working with numbered lists in AOO maddening.
