[users@httpd] Apache as a Wap gateway (not just wap server)

Hi all,

We're looking at providing access to some of our WAP content just as wap
pages and java downloads to mobile phones. We have a dial-in platform
which goes to the Internet, and we can set the WAP phone settings to use
the IP of one of our apache servers. We've spoken to someone who has set
up WAP gateways before and he says it should be really easy to tell
Apache to serve WAP content from a restricted number of sites (in our
case domains hosted on this one server) from an incoming IP mask (the
RAS platform). We need to run the gateway ourselves since many mobile
operators have not yet upgraded their gateways to let through Java
applications for phones which we are delivering.

I was wondering what needs doing on the apache side of things. Obviously
a rule to say that people with IPs in the xxx range should only be
getting content from x, y, and z sites, but precisely what do we need to
put in?

Many thanks in advance for the advice!

James Green
