Volunteer Release Manager

Since I just don't get enough aggravation in my easy-going
life, I've decided to step up to the plate and become release
manager for the components that Carsten wanted released.

(This in the hope that the complete ossification of Avalon
still is preventable.)

Of course, in order for me to not get too much of the good
stuff (aggravation), I want everyone to vote +1 or -1 on
my plan below. Any -1's and I'm outta here.

This is my plan:

  Blockers:
I didn't bring any. If anyone did, get them out by Sunday.

  Release Candidates:
  There will be none.

  Monday:
I'll tag the CVS with some version number. Since we don't
  have any

     (a) consensus on what version numbers mean in terms
         of binary and source compatibility

     (b) any idea of what changes have been made

I'll pick some number that is higher than the last tag.
  That's good enough.

I'll then compile the components and jar them. I'll
upload them to that place that's listed in the Wiki page
for release managers (can't be bothered to look),
along with the source zip and tarball.

Alternatively I'll just take the GUMP jars, since that's
what Carsten & Co are using successfully enough to want
  a release.

End of release. Projected time - 5-10 minutes.

Then I'll just sit back and wait for the onslaught of
bug reports. (Can't be that many.)

So, gentlemen, cast your votes.

 +1 from me for me.

/LS

+1

My only request is that excalibur-logger is built with all the optional
dependencies, such as the SMTPLogger support (pre-emptive bug report :)

Otherwise, super-kudos for stepping up to the plate!

+1000

Many thanks Leo, I really owe you more than one beer!

It might be that you get into trouble with the excalibur logger
which might be my fault. I deleted yesterday all duplicate sources
there which might have broken the built.
If you need help, just let me know and I will try my best (whatever
that means :) )

Thanks!
Carsten
