   @rafaelweingartner thanks for pointing the concurrency. 
   
   In the issue [#2540](https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/issues/2540) it was raised the need for redesigning the MAC generation method. I think that it would be interesting to add your point (address concurrency problems) into the discussion.
   
   I can create an issue related to the MAC address generation on CloudStack so we can plan and discuss alternatives.
   
   What do you think?
