**Issue Evaluation**
Category: `question` | Status: **Answered**
To access RocketMQ brokers from outside the Kubernetes cluster, you need to configure external access. The operator supports this through:
1. **NodePort Service** — Expose broker ports via NodePort. Set `spec.serviceType: NodePort` in the broker CR.
2. **LoadBalancer Service** — Use a cloud provider LoadBalancer. Set `spec.serviceType: LoadBalancer` in the broker CR.
3. **hostNetwork** — For bare-metal deployments, use `hostNetwork: true` in the pod spec to bind directly to node IPs.
4. **Ingress/ExternalDNS** — For name-based routing, configure Ingress or ExternalDNS.
Additionally, ensure the broker's `brokerIP1` is set to the externally reachable IP address so that producers/consumers can connect.
