Replication from v1.0.1 to 1.2.0

Source Server: Debian 5 with CouchDB v1.0.1
Destination Server: Windows 2008 R2 Couch DB v1.2.0

Is it possible to do replication from the older version to the newer
version? My source database is 21.2GB, and I do not want to corrupt the
data by attempting this migration.

Once the data has been replicated, then I plan to upgrade the source
server to v1.2.0.
