Move XMLDBTransformer to 2.1 HEAD ?
Why not move the org.apache.cocoon.transformation.XMLDBTransformer to
2.1 main tree?

AFAIR, there is an issue with Xalan and/or Xerces, serialization,
namespaces, and xupdate.
Xupdate namespace get lost when serializing xml fragment, and that's the
reason why it does not work ATM. See
AbstractTextSerializer.NamespaceAsAttributes hack for possible
workaround of this 'feature' (bug?).
