Any plans for a Cocoon2 alpha distribution?

Hi,

I was just wondering if there are any plans for a Cocoon2 alpha
distribution. This is really useful for me, since I'm sitting behind a
firewall that won't allow me to do cvs checkouts (extremely annoying!),
and I want to play around with Cocoon2 so that I can show people here
some of my future ideas.

Cheers,

Kosh

I'm going to try and find the time this week to prepare an RPM package for
Cocoon2 (for those who are running it under Linux) for the aforementioned
beta release. (I want to have any install glitches worked out by the time
Cocoon 2.0.0 is released.) For those who are interested, I'm also going
to try and do some restructuring so that my Xalan/Xerces/(Fop)/Cocoon
packages will install over either the current ApacheJServ package *or* a
new Jakarta Tomcat RPM I'm trying to develop.

(Anyone with suggestions on what sort of Tomcat configuration would work
well, I'm all ears. I'm torn between putting Tomcat's fairly extensive
directory tree under /opt/tomcat or putting in inside /home/httpd. The
latter is less elegant, but I liked the idea of a site's web content all
being found inside /home/httpd. Recommendations are WELCOME!)
