There is a property log4j1.monitorInterval to control how much time wait between the reconfiguration. However, in the org.apache.log4j.config.Log4j1Configuration (superclass of XmlConfiguration and PropertiesConfiguration) always returns null for the method _reconfigure_, causing the reconfiguration never to succeed.
