Mangled MD5 file in http://repo1.maven.org/maven/batik/jars/

The directory of http://repo1.maven.org/maven/batik/jars/ looks like this:

...
 batik-1.5-fop-0.20-5.jar         22-Jan-2004 08:37  2.0M
 batik-1.5-fop-0.20-5.jar.md5     22-Jan-2004 08:37   33
...

However, when the md5 is downloaded, it is exactly the same as the jar
- i.e. not the 33 bytes of hash+EOL expected.

Looks like there is a bad link or perhaps a bad htaccess file which is
causing the wrong file to be downloaded.

The equivalent ibiblio entry seems OK:
http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven/batik/jars/

Not sure if this is under your control or not; thought you ought to know.
