Apache compilation problems

Hi cocoon-users,

I am having problems compiling Apache Server on Caldera 2.3 in preparation
for the Jserv integration.  I get a compilation error concerning the "crypt
library" .  The Apache FAQ references this problem with RH 5.0 and glibc.  I
tried the EXTRA_LIBS=-lcrypt but to no avail.  Any pointers would be
appreciated.  Thanks
