To enable ssl on apache server set the following in
the configuration file httpd.conf :
SSLEnable (in case of Apache with Apache-SSL 1.x
package)
SSLEngine on (in case of Apache with mod_ssl 2.0x
package)
Example:
To enable ssl for a particular virtual host
<VirtualHost _default_:443>
SSLEngine on
......
</VirtualHost>
