Why?

Looking at the extension page for LanguageTool --

http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/languagetool

this seems to be known problem. There is a link to help to this problem
there.

Suggest contacting the extension developer,  dnaber, in some way. There may
be alternative tools for this as well.
