Memex connector

To all users and developers of the project now called ManifoldCF:

MetaCarta, Inc., has been contacted by Memex, which is a unit of SAS,
that they believe that some components of the connector
called the "Memex Connector", granted to the Apache Software
Foundation as part of the initial MetaCarta to Apache software grant,
violates the distribution agreement that was part of the Statement of
Work that MetaCarta and Memex signed together in 2009.
Attempts to negotiate with Memex to resolve this issue, which
MetaCarta believes to be based on a misunderstanding, have not been
successful.

While MetaCarta does not agree that Memex has a valid claim, it has
nevertheless requested that all copies of the potentially offending
software be removed from Apache servers, in the interest of avoiding
legal action. They have also requested that a letter be sent
to all known Apache users of the Connector, to request that they
remove any copies of the software that they may retain.
The files in question are the following, as given by their current svn paths:

http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/lcf/trunk/modules/connectors/memex/connector/src/main/java/org/apache/manifoldcf/crawler/connectors/memex:
LogicalServer.java
ManifoldCFMemexConnection.java
MemexAuthority.java
MemexConnector.java
MemexEntity.java

and, in the testing area:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/lcf/trunk/tests/memex-testing-package/org/apache/manifoldcf/crawler/connectors/memex/MemexSupport.java
