Re: Firefox OS

Hi,

He has not come back to me yet, but a few days ago I was contacted by
someone at Mozilla seemingly about Firefox OS and how to best contribute to
OpenDDR. I told him about what's going on here and asked him to think where
he would feel most comfortable to contribute device signatures. As soon as
I hear more, I'll share it with you or get him in touch with the right
people.

Greetings from JavaOne, just about to start on Sunday

All,

Just heard, there is a new Linux for Gaming (Steam OS) which also seems to
contain a browser in some settings, so plenty of new OS signatures to come
it looks llike[?]

Cheers

P.s.; I am not sure, if Oracle (it is said to be by Intel) used DeviceMap,
OpenDDR or similar open device definitions, or just a good sense of
CSS/HTML5, but the Mobile Web App for JavaOne 2013 works rather well on my
Nexus 7, while the Titanium app some web agency did for Oracle crashes with
just its Splash Screen (made with Titanium, good to know[?]) on the same
device.

So it looks like we're not completely wasting our time on improving UX of
Mobile Web Apps here[?]

Mozilla folks understand open development, so it would be a good idea to
ask them to get involved on this mailing list too if possible.

Thanks,

Andrew.
